Pigs in hot weather

I was rather delighted by a story in the paper about pigs being given ice lollies & having sun block rubbed into their ears during the recent hot weather.

Beware giant hogweed!

Walking by the River Tees in Yarm (which is a wonderful name for a town!) I saw a sign warning about the dangers of giant hogweed.

Apparently the reality is slightly less 'hoggy'

Meat! ...just do it!

I love those pictures of really enthusiastic animals who are about to be eaten - there's something extremely disturbing & wrong about that 'pig butcher' on the pork scratchings packet
